I had the pleasure of working with Mark for 7 years at CDL. I still remember the first day I met him, it was my second day there and I saw Mark slouched in his chair looking thoroughly demotivated and I thought I had a challenge on my hands managing this guy. It didn’t take long to work out he just liked slouching in his chair and he just looked grumpy when working. Mark was a hard working guy, very good in his field and was very reliable. He was an extremely important member of my team and a person I know I could always turn to. I spent many hours with Mark, working, chatting, listening to his jokes and his gripes and of course his thoughts on City. The last couple of years I had the pleasure of sitting next to him so got to know him quite well, he was a great guy with many friends and always talked very fondly of his family especially Zoe and Fearne. His loss is an extremely sad loss to many people, my thoughts go out to Mark’s family and friends. He will certainly never be forgotten. RIP Mark. Niall
